Suffolk shares with Norfolk a unique heritage of medieval churches, around five hundred, ranging from the small and quaint to the rich and magnificent.
Richard Tilbrook here follows his book Norfolk's Churches Great and Small, with a loving portrayal of some of his favourite Suffolk churches. His stunning photographs, mostly shot in natural light, are the product of many absorbing years of dedicated work.
Roy Tricker has an infectious enthusiasm for churches of all periods, having visited well over eight thousand of them. He has written numerous guides and is now, as well as being a Reader in the Church of England, one of The Churches Conservation Trust's five Field Officers.
George Pipe comes from a bell-ringing family and has rung in over two thousand churches across the world, lecturing and teaching ringing in Australia and North America. His passion for churches is well-known especially those of Suffolk and Norfolk. He is a lay Canon of St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
